I started this project without a name after going to the A MAZE convention in Berlin, where I found many unique games and was heavily inspired by my experiences there, and it made me want to create some kind of narrative experiences, where I could implement parts of myself into it.
I did not go into this project with a plan, instead opting to figure things out as I go. It's also a way for me to practice drawing my own 2D assets and implement them in Unity and sometimes animate them as well.
These eyes are made to follow the player with their pupils, and will start appearing slowly over time, based on how distressed the player character is. To add to this effect, the vignette around the camera gets bigger, breathes faster and you can hear the heartbeat of the player starting to beat faster.Â
I want to apply these effects to situations that give the character mental distress, either with dialogue or physical dangers
For some visual flair, I wanted to program in these fireflies. They don't have much of a purpose yet.
